《Sim-Cube》-錄像裝置藝術之創作研究-4
The painting as an illusion window is to imitate the real things onto the canvas through the perspective. The video transforms the real things into a projector’s screen and pixels. It is no longer confined to the plane but displayed by a variety of media, even through the buildings or sky.
The project and the research, focus on the relation between video and space, aim to explore the images’ flexibility, in particular the characteristics of digital images which can be reproduced and simulated. By analyzing the creation experiences and literature review, the researcher identifies the creation context of self. Finally, by combining theory and experiments, the researcher presents the creation work.
The “Sim-Cube” creation project attempt to record human’s activities in the space, especially the cities as the populated place. The work which takes city architecture image as material is presented with video. Through the modified city landscapes and the space projection, “Sim-Cube” is to rethink the relation between the city space and human beings.
