The Chronicle of Taiwan Rock and Roll held by Legacy Taipei had successfully connected the old and new generation of fans. This film based on its serious performing bands outlines the shape of Taiwan indie bands of the nineties, the time when the music environment just began and Taiwan indie bands started to write theirs songs in Chinese. The interviewees describe their impression of their first performing and Live house experiences. From the interview we can see the scene of the Taiwan indie music industry.
This film focus on the nineties and presents the situation of both the audiences and the bands. The interviewees also describe the indie band concert they desired to see the most and the meaning of music in their life.
While the amount of performing venues are growing and the music festivals are various in recent years, the small-size venue that breed Taiwan indie bands are forced to stop business due to political policy. The famous venue Underground Taipei (2013.6.15) was closed during the shooting, yet the demand of Redefine Live House is still neglected in Taiwan. There are more discussions on the event of the closing of Underground Taipei, we can see the bands and the fans are positive in the contribution of the small-sized venue and the expectation to the related authorities .
