斷裂的景與複數的切片

The broken and discontinuous "scenes" coming from the cracks and openings of the city have aroused our curiosity and pushes us to imagine and thought about life. The differentiate and conflicting views make us wonder, what is it hiding behind? From three ordinary daily experiences, I discovered a form of space contributed by "shade"; a dialogue between vision and fantasy in reality and illusion, inside and outside the said space.

The fragmentary reading brought about by "visual absence" that makes us imagine the absent space, through the walls and openings to generate blanks for the absents and invisible. While at the same time carry out urban and architectural psychology in the continually changing complex block texture in space operation. I use the city of Zhongli as the object of writing in this essay, as it has undergone various changes such as widening, relocation, and rezoning. I opt to look for a possibility of connection among the fractures and discontinuities in the streets and lanes. In the means of creating an internal boundary across time and space, leading people into a reimagined fantasy world that will deepen their thoughts about life, and open up the audience's curiosity and imagination about how to actually live here. Lastly, with this kind of perspective, an infinite, mysterious, and abstract aesthetic will be encouraged.
