This thesis is based on First Movement of Piano and Qrchestra Concerto in E-flat Major, KV. 482, by Austria composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The discussion is divided into five chapters.
In the area of classical music, Mozart is one of the key figures in Vienna. As the representative in classical music, he played an important role to the development of European music. During his only thirty-five years of living, he left us 626 outstanding pieces of works. Among the different kinds of his creation, there were three types known as his favorites: opera, symphony and concerto.
He got 42 concertos and 27 of them are piano concertos which his most successful and popular works. The number 22, First Movement of Concerto in E-flat Major for Piano and Orchestra, KV. 482, is proved to be the most well-know, beautiful, and common played piano concerto of all Mozart’s works.
Through the research of this work, I generalized its historical background, period of production and structure of the music ect, so as to discover the characteristics of his piano concerto and its position as well as the meaning it brought to the development of the European music.
