"Maybe Next Time" is a short feature film shot in a naturalistic and realistic style. The story content is based on the real life of baseball team children and parents. It tells the story of a disadvantaged single mother who works in a convenience store and is unable to go to the stadium to cheer for her child because of her family’s burden. This time the team reached the championship game, the mother decided not to let her child down, and rushed to the stadium against all odds, but lost the game. The mother and the child walked side by side, and slowly left the court together. Next time, is there another chance?

This film explores the plight of disadvantaged single-parent families in the social reality. Through the process of a single mother participating in the children's competition, it presents the helplessness they encounter and the love of family, hoping to inspire people to have the power of empathy and caring.Through the daily life and emotional interaction between the mother and child, it makes people feel that only love can comfort us and move on.

This thesis is divided into six chapters:

Chapter 1 - Introduction, explaining the motivation and background of the film creation.

Chapter 2 - Theme Explanation and Literature Discussion, expounds the theme and creative core of the film, collects and sorts out academic literature related to the theme, and discusses related video works.

Chapter 3 - description of script creation, analyzes the script structure, drama development curve and character design of the film.

Chapter 4 - Style Setting and Performance Strategies, expounds the expected design concept, aesthetics and formal style.

Chapter 5 - Description of Film Production and Execution, explaining the execution process of script revision, casting, performance rehearsal, character modeling, scene design, shooting record, editing, post-production, etc. in the overall production process.

Chapter 6 - Screening and feedback, public screening planning and execution, recording questions and feedback from the audience, and the director's review of the film.

Chapter 7 - Conclusion.
