This thesis consists of three parts: (1) the program notes of the “Solo Recital” written by the researcher (2) the program notes of the “Performance Recital” written by the researcher (3) the research paper presented in the “Graduate Students Conference”.

The program of the Solo Recital includes: L. v. Beethoven 《Violin and Piano Sonata No. 4 in A Minor, Op. 23》, N. Paganini 《24 Caprices No. 24 in A Minor, Op.1》, S. Prokofiev 《Violin and Piano Sonata No. 2 in D Major, Op. 94a》.

The program of the Performance Recital includes: Mrs. H. H. A. Beach 《Romance, Op. 23》and J. Brahms 《Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 77》.

The topic of research paper is “S. Prokofiev: Violin and Piano Sonata No. 2 in D Major, Op. 94a Analysis and Interpretation”, focusing on structural and harmonic analysis of the compositions, performance technique and musical interpretation.
