“Lost and found” is a short film that integrates the creative methods of multimedia materials in an attempt to create a visually rich and diverse appearance. The plot focuses on a tragedy caused by an honest mistake that triggers a series of events. The victim uses her own life as a bargaining chip to embark on a path of gradual revenge, which brings up the question: “Has the victim also become the assailant?”
“Creation” is an effective way to heal the soul. As a result, through this graduation production, the creator confronts the dark side within herself, which she has always resisted, while elaborating on conflicting views regarding her life. “Lost and found” also marks the creator’s first live-action film, and her first time venturing out of her personal comfort zone - animation. Using live action filming to express the story, she learns valuable experiences regarding teamwork through this process.
This artist statement records in detail the core concepts behind this film, as well as shares the lessons and insights learned from the execution process.
