This thesis consists of three parts:(1) the program notes of the “Solo Recital”written by the researcher (2) the program notes of the “Performance Recital”written by the research (3) the research paper presented by the researcher in the Graduate Students’ Conference.

The program of the Performance Recital includes:S. Rachmaninoff
《Rhapsody On a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43》and W.A. Mozart 《Sonata in D Major for Two Pianos, KV. 448》.
The topic of the research paper being “A Study on Chopin’s Fantasy Op. 49”, provides historical background of “Fantasy”, structural and harmonic analysis of the composition, style and interpretation viewpoints concerning color, touch and pedaling suggestions.
