Based on my career experience in independent music as well as the passion on Taiwan primitive music, this thesis is developed as the self-reflection of my Art Creation Project of “《kungadavane children》Rukai Ballad Music Album Production”.

Like most pure and touching primitive music, the Rukai culture in Taiwan has many of her own beautiful folk songs. These songs have gradually lost their hue due to the impact of modern technology and entertainment. And this is the propose of my project: to produce a new arrangement on four of these songs.

The major difficulty of making this album is voice recording. In order to have thirty children sing together, I needed to bring my home recording equipment to the remote mountain area of Kaoshiung, record each of their voice individually, so that I could make new arrangement at home by recording musical instruments through computer sequencer. The production process was tough but joyful and worthy. I hope I could bring new impressions of these songs to the audience, so that to bring more attention to Taiwan primitive culture and music.
