Spanish music is always full of special temperament and unique style, late of nineteenth and early twentieth century, most of national music school composers liked to mix Spanish folks with traditional musical instruments and dance rhythms, also they liked to mix artistic cultural material with romantic skills to present Spanish music a wealth of content and color.
This annotation report is about Granados’ Goyescas suite for piano as a subject. In each of chapter to introduce the influence of “Mahism” that came through Goya paintings’ influence relevance, also infect opera plot and other Granados’ piano pieces. The first chapter is introduce the nineteenth century of Spanish history and culture, which affect Spanish music that create different area with their special local music features.
And the second chapter is Granados’ life, about how he had been inspired by Goya’s paintings which drove him to create Goyescas, piano pieces. Chapter four is about the description each piece of Goyescas’ musical techniques features and background, also trace out its creative methods with opera plot to approach Granados’ ideal of interpretation.
