The thesis sets the 4 works composed by the author as the main body illustrating the concept of composition and the creational application of electronic music-related techniques.

The thesis also includes the analysis of the author’s four compositions. The four original works are Horology for stereo electronics, Untitled: Sighs for flute and electronics, Drip-Drops for 4-channel electronics, and Black Box: Spotlight for piano, pre-recorded and live electronics.

With the advancement of technology, musicians have also changed the form of creation and performance due to the influence of technology. For instance, the development of tape different gesture, so that the author's Horology for stereo electronic music can be reshaped into a new look by this technology. Computer program interaction technology allows the computer to " listen to" and interact with the performer. This technique is used in the author's instrumental-electronic works Untitled: Sigh and Black Box: Spotlight. This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter, Introduction, which traces the contemporary context of electronic music through people's vision of sound exploration; The second chapter, Creative concept, which examines the development of electronic music and how it affects one's own musical creation, based on the French electronic music master Varèse's "The Liberation of Sound"; The third chapter, Sound and perception, which explores how composers create electronic music works by understanding the physical phenomena and perception of sound. The fourth chapter is an analysis of the works and the application of technology, using four original compositions created by the author during his studies in graduate school. The fifth chapter summarizes the influence of technology on the author's works and how it is reflected in the author's works, and through introspection, asks how the new works created by the author after embracing technology can regain the feeling and raises expectations and prospects for future creative works.
