The interpretive report is analyzed about two different jazz recitals by Yen-Chi Lai which includes jazz quartet and jazz quintet. During the time of studying jazz music, I strongly feel the charm of fusion genre, especially the music in America and Japan. To demonstrate the variety of jazz, I select these two country’s fusion jazz music as subject of the graduated concert. In order to make the music play has more variety, we main arranged with trumpet and rhythm section, even added some vocal parts for specific song. In the second recital, we play some famous fusion jazz song from Japan with jazz quintet.

To knowing the role of electric bass playing fusion jazz and the way they perform, I opened two fusion jazz recital with different genre. Hopefully to forge the skill and the knowledge of jazz.
