This thesis is a study describing the author’s own creations. It probes into the myths and science-fiction elements that he has great passion for, as well as induces and organizes the graphic presentation of illusional creatures and hybrids of machines and living creatures. By doing this kind of research, he hopes to acknowledge his creating patterns more systematically, to reflect on his works from the past to the present more deeply, to unify segments scattered before and to orient himself and find helpful benefits for his future creation.
This creation discourse contains four chapters and the conclusion. Chapter One: Introduction, covers research motivation, purposes, content, methods and literature reviews. Chapter Two: Explorations of Related Artists, introduces artists that the author pays close attention to. By inducing their mind-sets and ways of presentation when running their works, he expects to adopt the merits of those role models. Chapter Three: The Methods and the Process of Creation, explores creation materials, forms, and contents. The author consolidates various ways of creation thinking, and further comprehends the whole development of patterns when his creation evolves. Chapter Four: The Results and Analysis of Creation, lists the author’s works, and compares it to as well as analyzes the works of other artists for further reference.
In the process of art creation and transformation, the development of materials, forms and contents experienced thinking and adjusting of different stages and finally gave birth to the present creation appearance. The two elements, myths and Science-Fictions, integrates his whole creation. The precious experiences of the collision between the two elements leads to the maturity of his works. Through the research and exploration of this thesis, the author shapes a more thorough view of art creation.
