The present thesis focuses on the analysis and interpretation of Chansons du Valet de Cur (1912) by Georges Adolphe Hue (1858-1948). In addition to a brief life story and work achievements of Georges Hue, the poem Le Valet de Cur (1908) and it’s author, Tristan Klingsor (1874-1966), are also introduced. After the background in introduction, the poem translation, the music analysis and interpretation are given. In summary, the union of both music and lyrics in found to be of most importance. Through this study, we hope to be able to give a title of contribution and better understanding of this great music work.
