“The Promenade of Memory” is the subject of this study. Like promenade in memory, the author uses daily playthings from childhood as the theme and express the emotion by paint. The course of these creations compares to exploring in memory fragments. What the author obtains is a beautiful and lovely memory. This thesis will be the basis for future artistic creation by constantly reflecting on revisions, literature reviews, and creative practices.
This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the motivation and purpose of researching the deep and beautiful things in memory, and the research methods and research contents. The second chapter discusses the creative theory of the subject in the author's memory such as Taiwanese children's toy, and the appropriation of the Mandarin text. Then, the three themes of the artist's works are described: memory scenery painting, sealed memory specimens, and memories of ordinary people's diet culture. Artists' work on these three themes, discuss how they use painting and composite media to express the emotions of objects they remember in their works. The third chapter is the artistic discourse. The author recalls the process of the objects and scenes of the Taiwanese traditional grocery stores and discusses the daily subject of childhood. Using painting or writing to change these daily topics into the ideal form, that is, the concept of "Experience Confession" in the works. Chapter 4 explains the media and process of painting creation in detail, and analyzes three series of works: "A Place to Play", "Memory Lesson" and "Lyricism of Objects". Chapter 5 concludes and looks to the future.
