The main concern of the study is through the painting, the non-verbal expression; we can explore the self-concept of children. The study focuses on in Taiwan how the children of women from South-East Asia develop their self-concept and self-adjustment themselves through their unique family backgrounds and particularities of subcultures of their family.
Firstly, this study discusses the related theories of the expression of self-concept in the painting of children from the viewpoint of child』s art. Second, the collection of information bases on cross-cases analysis. Through interview and the observation of Kinetic- House-Tree-Person-Test and Kinetic -Family-Drawings by methods of art criticism, and conducting within-case and cross-cases analysis. We can define the relation between particularity of marriage-immigrant families and the self-concept in child art. According to explaining the detection to special subcultures of family, we can find the meaning of child art education. The objectives of this study are as follows:
1.To inquire the study on the expression of self-concept in child art.
2.To analyze the cases of the marriage-immigrant families, self-concept in child art relates with the subcultures of family.
3. To analyze the self-concept in child art of the marriage-immigrant families reflects the subcultures of family factor.
4.To explain the study』s detection to special subcultures of family, we can find the meaning of child art education.
Finally, according to the results of research, we get several main conclusions. Then, we make certain suggestions to the practical education and research in the future base on the children from family with marriage- immigrant women, especially focus on the influence of their family and the influence on their self-concept in child art.
