Observing from 2019 to 2020, with the constant change of the world, the sound environment has drastically changed: some sounds disappeared, and some are covered by voices from human activity. Therefore, soundscape is becoming a topic that has gradually emerged in the creative field: not only environmental groups attach great importance to the soundscape, but also innovators could have their own means to show the concept of the soundscape. The animation short “Traces of the Leaving Moment” takes the concept of soundscape as a starting point. The context comes from a bookstore on the top floor, a female bookstore clerk and her dog telling a story about memory and leaving in Chinese（Taiwanese Mandarin）and Hokkien（Taiwanese Hokkien）.

Refer to the sounds from our life, culture and historical context, natural and spoken languages could be used for creation. Soundscape and animation complement each other, so stories that couldn't be told directly could be comprised.

This essay will be divided into three parts: In section 1, it will sort out the historical background of the soundscape, the formation of the concept, and explore the emergence of the soundscape in Taiwan. Section 2 will sort out the sound classification and analyses the relations of the soundscape based on the writing document, for the basis of the analysis, the application and appearance of the art in the present time, the analyze of the literature, in multimedia and related works of short films, preliminary exploration of the application of soundscape for creation. The last section would summarize the analysis of various cases, based on the theory of Professor Wang, Chin Shou and some supplements, such as the theories from R. Murray Schafer and Michel Chion, exploring the characteristics of soundscape in different situations, organize the classification summary and then push it back to the previous part of the literature discussion. Through the history influence of the soundscape, hoping that the soundscape could become one of the multiple ways of creation.
