An image, can be something that exists in the real world or the portrayal of how people treat other things. A mind, can be a concept or a language or the meaning behind them. Words, can be a letter or the composition. Through recognizing words, we can read or interpret them to obtain the meaning behind them.
I combine my inner feeling and my daily life experiences with my seal carving words and pictorial images. I consider the visual composition and its stimulation of the senses that come from the words and the images in all my works. I use the same stamp in one work and stamp it repeatedly on the paper and this action can also related as a characteristic of seal carving, showing that it can be used again and again. This thesis also discusses the material that I use, the forms and the concepts of my seal carving art work.
The point of view of my study is visual. I hope the audience can find the connection between the words and the images in my work, so that it appeals to more people and that they can appreciate them.
