"Midnight Stroll" is a short film adaptation of the author's childhood family trauma-related personal experiences. The story depicted a young boy and his mother wandering through hostess teahouses and motels late at night in quest of the boy's absent father. This voyage resulted in a fascinating nighttime experience, while the boy was forced to mature prematurely and deal with complicated family issues. The work accurately revealed the author's childhood shadows, as at an age marked by innocence and vivacity, he had to extend his immature hand to become a support pillar for himself and his mother. The original intent of the creation was not to put blame on the past, but to accomplish self-reconciliation. Through the medium of film, the author was able to revisit those nights and convert his tears into art, thereby transforming the bitterness of the past into fertile ground for the present. The concept of "Midnight Stroll" captures the predicament of parentified children and intends for the film to audience members who were forced to grow up too quickly due to family disruptions by reassuring the child hidden deep within their souls.

This creative thesis detailed the entire creative process and work documentation for "Midnight Stroll." This thesis elucidated the thoughts and reflections at each stage of the creative process, from entering film graduate school as a non-undergraduate student to the exploration of personal inner conflicts during the creative process and the integration of knowledge about film art acquired during the master's program.

This thesis consisted of five chapters:

Chapter 1- Introduction, detailed the creative background, process, and motivations, as well as the learning experiences and process of exploring the theme.

Chapter 2- the Literature Review, examined and incorporated relevant theoretical research that aligned with the film's theme, providing mutual confirmation of the story's plausibility.

Chapter 3- Creative Explanation,provided conceptual explanations from both scriptwriting and expressive strategies.

Chapter 4- Production and Execution, documented the pre-production, production, and post-production phases, capturing the director's thoughts and the collaborative processes of the numerous teams.

Chapter 5- Screening and Conclusion, provided a summary of the public screening and reflected on and summarized the entire filmmaking process.
