Abstract

“My Fake Doraemon” is an animation short which features a little boy as the main character, and concerns about the counterfeits and inferior goods from the point of view of a child. By concluding the distinguishing features of famous characters in cartoons for children and studying the physical and mental behaviors of children in real world, the process of creation discusses unique elements of children and gets to know more about the traits of kids. Furthermore, the work tries to apply these elements into creating the animation so that it can mould more vivid children characters and design more appropriate stories for children.

Children topics always play an important role in the content, no matter in character design, storytelling or character animation. The potential of children topics is unlimited. For content creation, we should put more efforts on this topic in the future.
