I depicted a circumference that exists nowhere. It is an abstract object, and it is everywhere. At the same time, it is nowhere. It seems this is a Boudrillad style answer if I try to discuss the exudate after interpreting the sign of object in the works. If the art works are the beginning of the conversation of objects, then the interpretation of object and sign would be the references that the linguistic context follows. And the coordinate would be positioned by the contents, the forms, and the symbols. However this kind of interpretation is not only a simple axis, but also a new possibility that a new art-craft derived from an object, and a possibility of more conversations.
This thesis is HSU,HSIN-WEN’s progress of her art work and based on her forms of art. She focused on the re-shape and the appropriation of the essences and the symbols of objects. She adjusted and discussed the distances of symbols and the lead connections of the congregation or duplication of the symbols. Her works are not fixed by specific materials. She searches the corresponded objects from her ideas, and based on the searching of the object, she constructs a form with the material semanteme. And through this process, she asks herself a question with the marginal product. If you consider an object as a path that leads to another object, then thousands of possibilities will be created when an object throws out a symbol. And if you discover the margin of those possibilities, it is like depicting a circumference from nowhere. It is abstract and a space that your imaginations can fly through. She tries to rebuild relationships between objects, works, and herself with the search and questions under this framework.
This thesis has four chapters. The first is to narrate personal progress of art creating and the changing progress of materials with time line. The second is to comb and combine the objects, symbols, and the derived marginal objects in a perspective of art theories. The third is to list out the relative works that contemporary artists created and the art history as the references of coordinate positioning. The fourth is to analyze personal works, from entering the progress of constructing, the relationships of spaces to the exploration of the marginal objects in works.
