This paper contains two sections, the first section is the musical analysis of “ Solo Recital”. The second section is the musical analysis of “Performance Recital”.

  In the first section, the program of “Solo Recital” includes Tommaso Antonio Vitali Chaconne in G Minor for Piano and Violin; Georg Philipp Telemann 12 Fantasias for Violin Solo, TWV40: 3, 4; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Sonata for Piano and Violin, No. 17, K. 296; Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev Five Melodies for Piano and Violin, Op. 35bis.

  Tommaso Antonio Vitali’ s Chaconne in G Minor for Violin and Piano is introduced by the basso ostinato and the theme in preparation for the following 46 variations and show the unique techniques of violin as well as the charm of the piece; Georg Philipp Telemann’ s 12 Fantasies for Solo Violin, No. 3 and 4 are typical Baroque polyphonic music and the theme is constructed of basic chord and arpeggiated chords; The three movements of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’ s Violin Sonata No. 17, K. 296 are Sonata form, Ternary form, and Rondo respectively. Violin and piano echoing and equally cover the melodic lines; Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev’ s Five Melodies Op. 35 fully show the intensity, lyricism, liveliness, and mute is used in order to create and change the color of the sound. Some techniques are finely used, such as accent marking, double stops, and trill. The differentiations provide a deep impression.

  In the second section, the program of “Performance Recital” includes Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Sonata for Piano and Violin No. 35, K. 526; R. Schumann Sonata for Piano and Violin No. 1, Op. 105; A. Piazzolla “Café 1930” from “History of the Tango”.

  Mozart Sonata for Piano and Violin No. 35, K. 526 promotes the balance between the two instruments and requires professional skills in collaborative playing; Schumann Sonata for Piano and Violin No. 1, Op. 105 is full of dramatic switches of musical expression as well as highly-demanding technique; Piazzolla “Café 1930” from “History of the Tango” features the swinging dance of Tango demonstrated by the glissando and chromatic scale of the violin.
