The thesis presents a cut-out animation. The main role in this animation is a monster and the story is about the journey of the monster in search of happiness. During the journey, the monster encountered many people and got lots of lessons. He gradually understands what the nature of happiness is and becomes a happy man.

The thesis also reviews the history of the cut-out animation, the development of the cut-out animation in the East and in the West, the advantages and disadvantages of the cut-out animation compared to other technologies. As for the animation in this thesis, we take the traditional forms to present the cut-out animation. Therefore, all the roles and the background are hand-painted so that the use of digital software can be reduced.

The idea of the creation, the production process and so on are also detailed in this thesis. We hope the presented cut-out animation be a good reference in this area.
