This paper examines the creative background and concepts of four works by the author, analyzing the structure, materials and creative techniques of the music, and exploring how technology is used in contemporary music composition, reflecting the creative techniques and aesthetic concepts of electronic music.
In this paper, the two-channel electronic music works Sonic Youth and Metallica use digital sampling technology to construct and develop songs in a microscopic way, illustrating the deconstruction and mixing techniques of contemporary software in sound, abstracting the materialized sound into musical motives and materials, and reflecting the ambiguity between sound and music. Prime Number is a piano and electronic music work that uses program software to randomly deconstruct specific sound columns, and combines them with preset and live electronic music performances, juxtaposing traditional instruments and technological equipment to reflect the integration of technology into musical creation. The multi-channel live electronic music work Primal Scream not only uses physical analog synthesizers and samplers as the main creative tools and sources of materials, but also applies them to live performances, using purely computer program technology for "instrumentalization".
This paper is divided into five chapters. Chapter 1, "Introduction," discusses the historical context of electronic music; Chapter 2, "Creative Background and Concepts of the Works," explores the breakthroughs in music composition brought about by technological development and their impact on the author's inspiration and conceptual influence; Chapter 3, "Electronic Music Technology," introduces common techniques for processing sound and their role in the author's electronic music creation; Chapter 4, "Analysis of the Works," conducts an in-depth analysis of the creative concepts, sources of materials, paragraphal forms, electronic music techniques, and notation of the four works; Chapter 5, "Conclusion and Reflection," summarizes the author's creative achievements and reflections, as well as future research and creation prospects.
