Mr. Lai, Deh-Ho, born in 1943, is a creative composer, influenced instructor, and experienced administrator in music education.

In this article, I will like to survey Mr. Lai’s two pieces: “Elegy” for Viola and Piano and “Stars, Flower” for Harp Sol to discuss Mr. Lai’s personal composing techniques and his own style, through formal structure, pitch organization and developing methods.
