Abstract

In order to make a masterpiece, some excellent composers possessed creative talents; naturally Some reveal their best individual artistic talents and experience all kinds of challenges to life.

In the history of British art songs, Roger Quilter (1871-1953) is such a honed and admirable composer. Born in a silver spoon, he always treats others with humility and kindness. He supported talented musicians without hesitation.

All music works represent musicians, personality traits and life experiences. In Quilter's music works, we are moved by not only their life experiences in beautiful and touching melodies, capabilities and emotions in splendid art.

This thesis is aimed at providing singers and piano accompaniment with understanding, interpretation and examination to the singing works by the means of analysis of this mini, delicate collection. All the efforts are sincerely to advocate and share classic masterpieces with music lovers.
