The Creative Concepts and Production Process of a Short Film “Amber”

國立臺灣藝術大學 / 電影學系 / Author:HUANG, CHIA-CHI

《Amber) is adapted from a friend’s true story. It tells about a daughter who begins to face the regrets and unresolved issues between herself and her father after his unexpected death. The film interweaves flashbacks and the present and uses hallucinations to give the daughter and father a chance to talk again. The story is mainly described from the perspective of the daughter, but the father's own difficulties can be discerned in the dialogue and scene design. May the audience feel the inexpressible love between father and daughter and their respective challenges when watching the movie. Even though life may never be perfect, but at the very least we shouldn’t leave with regrets.
