This thesis consists of three parts: (1) the program notes of the“Solo Recital”written by the researcher (2) the program notes of the“Performance Recital”written by the researcher (3) the research paper presented by the researcher in the“Graduate Students Conference”.
The program of the Solo Recital includes: J. S. Bach《Prelude and Fugue in A Major, BWV 884(WTC II)》, W. A. Mozart《Fantasy in D minor, KV. 397》, L. v. Beethoven《Sonata in F minor, op. 57 “Appassionata”》, F. Liszt《‘Un Sospiro’(from “Two Concert Etudes”), ‘Waldesrauschen’(from “Three Concert Etudes”)》, M. Ravel《‘Une barque sur l’ocean’,‘Alborada del gracioso’(from “Miroirs”)》.
The program of the Performance Recital includes: W. A. Mozart《Sonata for Two Pianos, KV. 448》and J. Brahms《Piano Trio in C Major, Op. 87》.
The topic of the research paper being“A Preliminary Study on F. Liszt’s Concert Etudes –‘Un Sospiro’and‘Waldesrauschen’”, provides historical background of “Etude”, structural and harmonic analysis of the compositions, style and interpretation viewpoints concerning technical challenges, color and touch effects, pedaling suggestions.
