This written report is an interpretation of the writer’s identity as a popular guitarist in the band Green Fern. It aims to analyze and interpret the lyrics, melody and the creative concepts of Green Fern’s original works. It begins by exploring how in the past, independent, or “Indie” music played a very different role than mainstream music. Indie music was generally associated with colorful political themes and personal concepts. However, over time this line between indie and mainstream music has gradually become blurred. Indie music has not been able to resist the influences of capitalism, becoming, like mainstream music, unwilling to stir up trouble - everybody is now in the same boat, eating from the same pot.

It concludes with an interpretation of the entire album, its use of “Band Sound” （The major instruments being jazz drums, electric bass, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboards, etc.） as the main arrangement and tone structure of the album, its use of guitar as the main rhythmic accompaniment or lead instrument, including acoustic guitar, electric guitar, jazz guitar, gypsy guitar, etc., and an elaboration on the inspiration process and creative concept of each song.
