This thesis consists of two parts: (1) the program notes of the “Solo Recital” and (2) the program notes of the “Performance Recital”.

The program of the “Solo Recital” includes Robert Schumann’s(1810~1856)《Frauenliebe und leben, Op.42》; three famous songs of Roger Quilter（1877-1953）《June》, 《Love’s philosophy》, and 《Now sleeps the crimsonpetal》; four songs of Gabriel Fauré(1845-1924)《Les Berceaux, Op. 23, No. 1》, 《Ici-ba, Op. 8, No. 3》, 《Clair de Lune, Op. 46, No.2》, and 《Mandoline, Op. 58, No. 1》; three arias of Antonio Vivaldi(1678-1741) “Vieni, vieni, o mio diletto” and “Ben conosco a poco a poco” from 《Arsilda regina di ponto》, and “Sposa son disprezzata” from 《Bajazet》；and the last song is an aria from opera of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart(1756-1791)“Ach, ich fühls…” from 《Die Zauberflöte》.

The program of the “Performance Recital” includes three famous lieder of Franz Peter Schubert(1797~ 1828)《Frühlingsglaube》, 《Gretchen am Spinnrade》, and 《Die Forelle》; four Italian art songs of Gioachino Rossini(1792-1868)《La Promessa》, 《L'invito》, 《La pastorella dell' Alpi》, and 《La gita in gondola》 from 《Les Soirées Musicales》； two French art songs of Ernest Chausson(1855-1899)《Le colibri》 and 《Hébé》; two French art songs of Gabriel Fauré(1845-1924)《Le secret, Op.23, No. 3》 and 《Après un Rêve , Op.7, No.1》; two arias of Giacomo Puccini( 1858–1924)“Mi chiamano Mimi ”and “Donde lieta” from opera《La Bohème》； and the last two songs of praises of Mary King 《Unburdened Flower》 and 《Cool Moonlight》.
