Awareness is an act, a process of self-consciousness. By linking the "physical labour" experienced by me and my father during our creative process, the emotional memories we perceived is infused into our creations. The way we explore things depends on our method of self-perception. Our perception exists delicately between the tangible and intangible. When we perceive things that are tangible, the intangible that exists opposite of them are not perceived by our eyes, ears or other sensory organs. These intangibilities are the things that can exist objectively, at the conscious level, or in a particular form or concept.
"Real-virtual" space is inspired by the corresponding concave and convex spaces created by "chasing and repoussé". Such a space attempts to break the chasing and repoussé technique free of the inherent imagery of most relief sculptures by searching for more possibilities in terms of space and meaning. At the core of the discourse regarding this work is the expression of emotions toward family as the main axis. As the part of our body that allows for the most intimate form of contact with others, the hand, covered with the scars of age, is transformed into a three-dimensional work. Extensive chiseling is further used to create concave and convex patterns that create a form of space presenting subtle, nearly non-existent moods within sentiments.
