The background story of "The Frogs Ville" takes place in Taomi village, the well-known mountain village in Nantou County with fantastic landscape that widely covered with bamboo and trees. However, the 921 Earthquake destroyed it in September 1999. Due to decrease the impact of diminishing deforestation and rise the concept of environmental conservation and community building in recent years, the trend of ecotourism on environmental education spreads rapidly among the 319 townships in Taiwan. The small village becomes the urban people's natural paradise through the call for ecology with familiar animals - frogs, and says goodbye to the shadows of the damage in 921 Earthquake.
" The Frogs Ville " presents the features to the audience with the latest visual imaging technology in 3D stereoscopic animation. One of the endemic amphibian species in Taiwan - Heymons' narrow-mouthed frog(Microhyla heymonsi, Vogt, 1911)guides the story, form local culture with the core of science education, to describe its relationship with other species and living environment. It's an intimate story that tells about an adventured mother frog that is looking for her child. Her child was caught by some naughty human children. (This story uses the anthropomorphic description.) It also leads to the problems of invasive alien species, habitat destruction, habitat pollution and overexploitation. It also makes the animals and human beings have to migrate to find out the Utopia in their mind. Therefore, corresponding to the Jin dynasty's poet Yuanming Tao’s "The Peach Colony", an ideal community reflects the pursuit of people yearning for and the oppression we against in reality. It also an allegory of the current Taiwanese society.
