George Frideric Handel (1685-1759), one of the important composers in the late Baroque period. His works were mainly Italian operas and oratorios, creating many instrumental works. Handel traveled to various European countries throughout his life and visited many musical towns. In addition to making friends with nobles and local musicians, he keeps continuing to improve creative skills. Handel integrated North German strictness, Italian liveliness, and British elegance into his own creations to form his own unique style of music.

This thesis takes Handel's Sonata in G major, HWV 363b as the main research topic, with gaining an in-depth understanding of Handel's life background and creative style, exploring the playing method of the flute and the use of decorative instruments in the Baroque period, and summarize the literature and materials, and apply them to the analysis, for interpretation of the music as well.

The thesis will be divided into five chapters, the first chapter is the introduction, the second chapter focus on Handel’s life, creative style, and composition background, the third chapter analyzes the music of Sonata in G major, HWV 363b, and the fourth chapter is the author’s interpretation point of view. Finally, make and conclude for my observations.
