The purpose of this creative research is to explore and document the various characteristics of "people, events, or objects" under the illumination of "light and shadow" through melody, lyrics, and film imagery, corresponding to the "topics" the creator intends to explore. With the intention of "light and shadow" as the main theme and the "characteristics of the illuminated objects" as the contextual branches, this project consists of eleven songs with corresponding filmed imagery and discussions on ten themes related to light and shadow. The aim is to "recreate" the essence and core issues of these themes through descriptive lyrics, evocative melodies, captivating visuals, provoking reflection, and emotional impact. The objective is to create an immersive experience for the audience, using not only pleasant melodies and beautiful visuals but also evoking thoughtful contemplation.

This creative thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which includes the research motivation and objectives, research content and scope, research methods, and terminology explanations. The second chapter explores the meanings and connections between light and shadow, elucidating the inherent meanings of light and shadow, the selection of illuminated objects, their characteristics, and the connections to the discussed topics, along with relevant theoretical literature and discourse. The third chapter delves into the creative concepts and analysis of the works, discussing the conception and execution of the creative ideas, and analyzing ten representative works by the author to highlight notable creative techniques or concepts that resonate with the topics and themes. The fourth chapter focuses on the presentation and execution of this album in live performances. The fifth chapter concludes the research, discussing the introspection during the creative process, exploring various creative techniques, and examining the resonance the discussed topics evoke in the audience.
