This essay (Lucid Dreaming‧The Game of Overlapping in the creation process) is graduated student Hsieh,Hsin-Ling discover and finding in her creative painting process from 2016 to 2018. The study is mainly focus on overlapping between sleep and awake. And she actually decided to record of lucid dreams. The study observes the record and try to connect new artistic creations is part of an overlap too. About the record of lucid dreams will change the creative practice to the new possibility.

The essay divided into five parts. Firstly, the motivations and purpose will be described. Secondly, the theories for the Lucid Dream will be introduced. It begins with the Carl G. Jung’s discussion of Psychoanalysis. Furthermore, the author will explore two artists, who’ works and thoughts are related to the method of look which author has defined. Thirdly, it will provide the overview of the creating process. Also, it will discuss the two sides during the process. One is the changing when recording of lucid dreams, another one is the transforming relationship of the final work. Fourthly, it will follow the analysis of creation process. And it will be separated into three phrases. For each work, it will contain the discussion of the meaning and artistic form of expression in detail. Finally, it including the conclusion and review of this introspective journey for future prospection.
