As a child, I watched quite a lot of TV programs was drawn to documentaries. These programs not only profoundly inspire my artistic creation but also encourage me to question and challenge the existing social norm. As a direct result, I begin to “document” events that happen in our daily lives with the use of ceramics. By providing thoughts and ideas that are different from the so-called “standard answer”, it is anticipated that the viewers—having appreciated the works and compared their feelings with their past experiences—will be intrigued and challenged by the artifacts, thus begin to raise queries and think outside of the box.

To express the idea of compare and contrast as well as the state of alienation, various everyday ready-made and their ceramic “replica” are presented side by side. The artworks are divided into two categories. “The Unbalanced Inner Being” series consists of works that reflect the events or objects that I observe every day. Intrigued by these seemingly ordinary items, I tried to find the solution to my inner queries through artistic creation, reflection, and rethink. For works that belong to “The disordered Society”, I created a variety of artworks that are inspired by my personal experiences interacting with the surrounding. The motifs of these artifacts have been extended to issues that are related to the physical environment. By exploring the topics that resonate with the viewers and make them feel connected, it is hoped that these items will encourage the viewers to question the established values.
