The generation of us who grew up under the irrigation of the information network, the virtual world is a part of life, and virtual and reality have long been inseparable. In the real world, we usually have multiple identities passively, and in the virtual world, we create our own More identities of different looks. While switching between different identities, we gradually lost ourselves unconsciously, as if in multiple parallel worlds, but we could not find "I". In the process of creating this thesis, while thinking about the interactive relationship between virtual and real space, I also used this to think about the connection between the existence of "I" and virtual space.
The first works, <Dark Place>, is a virtual reality works. This work was created under the premise of fear and emotion. The virtual scene is projected as the inner space, and the viewer enters the real work space. After wearing the helmet, enter the virtual scene. The virtual scene in the vision will be connected with the visual impression before wearing the VR helmet, trying to connect the virtual space with the real space, so that the viewer can deepen the immersion of the work space and feel the emotions through the work.
The second works <Virtual, Reality and Boundary line> is an interactive works, taking the current atmosphere of reality as one of the main axes, creating an interactive chatroom-like window that imitates the reality and presents it in a way that connects the virtual reality. This works is divided into two parts, one is the part where the viewer watches or responds to the imitating live window, and the other is the part where the viewer becomes the streamer in the imitating live, and the content in the chat is all robot message, trying to explore the prosperity of the livelihood, we gradually rely on the virtual platform to watch, envy others' living conditions, and then want to become to each other, but it is easy to lose ourselves; and the streamer gradually loses himself, just to cater to the audience's preferences, hoping to be what the audience wants him to be. We may all be the streamer or the audience. In the virtual world that can establish various personal identities, can we still maintain the "I" personality tendency?
The third works, <Memory Scenes>, is a virtual reality works. From the memory perspective , it considers the relationship and existence of virtual space and real space. It is based on the cyberspace, what kind of existence is it for us who enter the virtual space through consciousness? The viewer will put on a VR helmet to enter the virtual world, and capture the real-world relationship between people and real space in the form of video recording, and superimpose the picture on the virtual space scene in the form of local fragments. Among them, the viewer will interact with virtual objects and local images in the virtual world, trying to explore the relationship between the existence of virtual space and the connection between people and real space.
