Maurice Ravel (1875-1937) was a French composer and pianist in the late nineteenth century. Gaspard de la Nuit for solo piano is inspired by three poems in the collection of poems (Les Fantaisis de Gaspard de la Nuit a la Maniére de Rembrandt et de Callot) by the French poet Aloysius Bertrand (1807-1841) in the early nineteenth century. , turning the fantasy elements of the poems into the most difficult, gorgeous and dazzling works of his piano solo works.
Although Gaspard de la Nuit is composed of three chapters with different styles, Ravel uses a lot of repetitive sound techniques in his composition, thus connecting the three works together. In addition to Ravel's life and creative background, this interpretive report focuses on the discussion and changes in the repetition of thematic motives. It first analyzes the theme group, and then takes a closer look at the composition of each motive and how it affects the deformation of other motives.
