"Kinderszenen", Op. 15, byRobert Schumann, is a set of thirteen pieces of music for piano written in 1838. This artist is in memories of his childhood from an adult point of view. These pieces of music are not independent although their titles are not the same.

This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction and contains research motivation, purpose, methods and scope.The second chapter discusses the ageRobert Schumann belongs toand his works.

Section I describes how the age , the combination of music and literature, the

creation of music and the harmony diversity, etc., all affected Schumann's musical

creation. Section II describes Schumann's biography of life. Section III describes the

characteristics of Schumann's works, mainly focused on "Kinderszenen", and other important piano works to discuss Schumann's creative techniques.

The third chapter is music creative background and music analysis of "Kinderszenen". Section I is the music creative background of "Kinderszenen". The first part is analysis background based on Schumann's letter in 1838. The second part is analyze the use of the three motives in Schumann's works, according to related document. Section II analysis "Kinderszenen".

The fourth chapter is the teaching application and interpretation of Schumann's "Kinderszenen" and discuss in teaching and music interpretation. The last chapter is the conclusion. Summarize and experience after the research.
