The motif of my project is “The Environment is born from the Heart.” In this study, I aim to explore my own childhood at the foot of Mt. Hongludi in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City. There are three different series: The paintings in the Nostalgia series are inspired by some old objects and faded photographs that always remind me of bygone days, fragments of past events and thoughts hidden in a dark corner of the mind; the Lines series combines Eastern and Western paints and utilizes unconventional support media to interpret a significant period of my life spent in the nature while at the same time expressing my true self with an inferiority complex; the Curly Hair series examines my loving family, imperfect appearance, irritable disposition and pursuit of a dream. These series not only record my stories, but also serve as testimonies of my personal growth in life.
