The purpose of the research is to study the reaction of people in different societies and different parts in the world and also thought about the self-reflection for society and media. The writer learnt the cultural variation from different propaganda medias in Macau, Taiwan and Guangdong province by continuously commuting these three places. He finally made this research and creation.
The thesis was divided into five parts: the first part is introduction which is about research motivation, purpose, creation, method and range of study and definitions of words. The second part is about knowledge bases and literature discussion. The discussion started with philosophical field “Lebenswelt” from Edmund Gustav Albrecht Husserl (Austria ,1859-1938) and a book called L’existentialisme eat un humanisme from Jean-Paul Sartre (France,1905-1980). At last of second part would enumerate three artist from history of art - Utagawa Kuniyoshi (Japan,1798-1861), Andy Warhol (U.S.A, 1928-1987) and Feng Zhengjie (China,1968-). The third part is about concept of creation, material and technique and mention in research which included “culture painting”, used “propaganda” as main idea and making technique (acrylic, printmaking and digital inkjet). The forth part is back to the writer’s own creation series <The painting of impure land> and we will analyze the creation series. At last part is the conclusion prospect of the entire research.
The writer created the series of <The painting of impure land> by using propaganda material and this creation not only belonged to the writer herself, but also to the pubic who belonged to the series. Through the writer wanted to express a different views of different culture and moral value from herself, at the same time it could be self-reflection by creating and looking forward to audience who can get some inspiration from it.
