《浸泡》 沉浸式互動表演

國立臺灣藝術大學 / 多媒體動畫藝術學系新媒體藝術碩士班 / Author:Lee,Wei-Jing

“Pobble” is an interdisciplinary performance that combines multi-screen projections and kinetic in an attempt to create an immersive experience using three projections in a space. The work describes the artist’s fear of losing feminine qualities produced by the pressure they face for removing female organs and ovaries. With the image of bubbles serving as metaphors for female ovaries, they also allude to the perfect image of a woman as defined by society. At the same time, they disguise themselves using bubbles along with a desire to compensate for defects in the female body through appearances. Using sensors technology to detect the body of a dancer enables them to in real-time change the interactive images of the bubbles by transforming their body. Between the pushing, beating, and covering of the bubbles images, this immersive performance lets viewers soak in the mood of the work.

The first section of this thesis covers the artist’s creative background and motivation. The literature in the second section explores the creative expression of immersive imagery, analyzes the creative project of domestic and international digital art using immersive imagery, and explores female identity expressed in new media art. In the third section elaborates on “Pobble” concepts. By expressing the personal autonomy of the female consciousness through this work, the concept of an “ideal woman” defined by society is boldly overturned.
