This thesis is including four Chapters. The first chapter is an introduction of Hindemith’s live, the style of his music, and brief description of his compositions.

The second chapter presents the background of the clarinet sonata and the how the sonata affected by Gebrauchsmusik. The third chapter analyses the clarinet sonata. The final chapter end up with the Performance and Practice of the clarinet sonata.
