The content of the thesis paper mainly describes how I started questioning the identity of personal life experience and transformed to the process of creation. Since High School I studied abroad in Canada and United States for almost ten years. The definition of one's own identity roots is the most common issue for overseas foreigners, sense of belonging is always confusing. After consideration, identity issue was determined to be the subject. For years of observation, there are several qualities under the status of foreigners which is conflict, variation, and multiple identities. The creations were transformed by these elements be the symbols of identity recognition, converting the abstract image to soft sculptures. Through examing art history, deconstruction and simulation theory, finally formed a series of identity model. The essay divided to three components: how the artworks inspired by art history, analyzes the characteristics of works, discuss the importance of perception and how works were developed, and the final chapter explains the form and texture.
