The author analyzed "Corelli Variations" from four perspectives including of form and phrase, tonality and harmony, meter and rhythm, tempo and expression, and also did some further research in intensively interesting parts, such as irregular bar''s phrases, unexpected harmony, particular rhythms, tension varied by expression terms, and strings'' features. Lastly, in combine with the author''s own opinion of interpretations, the author integrated and concluded analyses as summarization.
As to other related researchers, musicologist and composer and etc, this thesis can be also provided as references of Rachmaninoff''s music characteristics and writing technique.
