Image manifestation has considerably changed because of a significant advance in scientific technology. From early years of CRT (cathode-ray-tube) television to flat LCD (liquid-crystal display) or even the most popular smartphone at the moment, visualized concept is not only just a simple digital technique, it but also affects people’s habits. However, all that matters of image is no longer as transmitting provider of interface. It means the image has become a carrier platform that changes the way people watching and the way people learning the knowledge of image.

Based on frame-selecting image manifestation, the work “Swing” takes advantage of video installation to put several screens into a straight line which looks like a video-frame structure of movie films. Additionally the video contents captured by camera were displayed separately in the screens with a single video frame picture; moreover, they were sorted by time order. The idea of this work was derived from the artist’s own travel experience and a moving landscape observed from a running transporting vehicle. The work “Swing” was videotaped and the time axes of its travelling and its editing were re-compressed through a video installation.
