“Langjiao-Beinan Road II”The Creation and Research of Virtual Reality Art's Cover

Allow in school after 2018/07/30

As an extension of the previous work “Langjiao–Beinan Road”, “Langjiao–Beinan Road II” explores in more depth the cultures and cultural connotations of the aboriginal people, as well as the ecological problems faced by the Syuhai tribes in their hometown. Because the author has some aboriginal ancestry, when faced with the problem of her hometown culture being lost to the world, she interprets them through her works. “Langjiao–Beinan Road” and “Syuhai” echo their historical relationship of aboriginal culture. This creation utilizes virtual reality media to transform abstract tribal culture, history, language, and ancient roads into totem spaces, text symbols, text caves, cultural energy balls, and genuine ancient roads. Providing space for viewers and aboriginal culture in virtual reality, the author creates text totem spaces and reconstructs the time and space of ancient roads. Furthermore, due to the immersive nature, interactivity and imagination of virtual reality, it immerses the viewers consciously in the field created by the author. The viewers will feel like they are experiencing the sensations of crossing the caves and ancient roads, and they can use the handles to freely walk around and explore scenes from different times. It utilizes the features of virtual reality to express the traditional aboriginal cultural and ancient scenery. This feature is unique to virtual reality and cannot be replaced with other media.

This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter mainly discusses the author's experience and the preceding work of this creation, as well as the research purpose and research motivation. The second chapter mainly discusses the development of virtual reality and related works, while also exploring the aboriginal culture of the tribes in her hometown Syuhai and the historical origin of Langjiao–Beinan Road. The third chapter mainly discusses the content elements and creative methods of her work. The fourth chapter points out the conclusions and recommendations after the exhibition.
