Image processing is an expressing art belonging to early artists. As the progress of image processing technology and digitalization of images, “Image Processing” has become an artistic form which can be easily accessed by everyone nowadays. The popularization of image processing technology makes ordinary people work out professional images, all through digitalized process. To make a picture prettier becomes more and more convenient. A person cannot even recognize himself after digital modification of his own picture. It’s hard to tell the real from the fake. And it is caused by “images”. Of course, it is also concerned with the human’s desire of beauty. And the desire has been realized by a much easier way, image processing, rather than plastic surgery.

The purpose of the research is to explore the expressing of form transaction in the field of imaging art and to understand features and methods of it. The subject of the creative work is “Self-materialization for Beauty”. It starts from the form transaction of imaging art and presents human beings’ minds of persuing beauty and self-materialization of beauty by the processing and meta-modification of digital images as well as the animation of form transaction. At last, the traits and display of applying methods of form transaction to imaging art will be discussed.

The research applies methods of data collection, context discussion and art work analysis. It also analyzes threads of imaging art and the presentation of form transaction as the foundation of creating Self-Materialization of Beauty and further develops the new possibilities of imaging art. And there are different displaying forms of this art work which combines creating concepts and presenting methods: the creation of form transaction animation applying image synthesis and contre-jour of self image skills. The researcher hopes to offer future creators a new directions of thinking and creating art works.
