The two outlying islands, Kinmen and Matsu, have their own natural and cultural landscapes compared to the main island of Taiwan. The two islands, as the front line, have experienced the military and war-era background, which also makes them unique and significant in terms of photographic exploration.
The author's family is from Kinmen, and this creation hopes to show the different faces of families, activities, and people in the islands from a personal perspective through private photography. Using the art of photography, new fields of the island's imagery could be explored. All photographs and corresponding poems are divided into five series, which respectively present the photographer's thinking about the relationship between the outlying islands and himself. The exhibition has been conducted in the form of photography and poem on the website, and promoted through the online community. It is hoped that viewers can increase their attention and thinking about the outlying islands.
