This study begins from my artistic practices and focuses on my works created between 2017 and 2022. I followed the timeline to analyse these works, while consulting the artistic practices that stood out after the 1960s as my main source of literature review. In terms of my artistic practices, I attended to the phenomena and experiences discovered and derived from creating the 0 90 360 series, using material objects, graphics and texts in visual forms to explore the topics of visual literacy. On top of that, I also want to explore "the art concepts and forms that come with qualities of contemporary cultures" in this thesis.

Today, social media platforms highly rely on the online community to produce content, and they develop diverse modes of communication that are online, offline, or hybrid using blockchain technology, database, applications offering streaming services, as well as mobile phones and personal computers. Based on the Internet Protocol Address and supported by fiber-optic communication, the complex online information pathways are connected with three-dimensional virtual worlds like Metaverse through new technologies. The virtual world is then intertwined with social networks and continues to expand and evolve. New domains that have contemporary qualities are therefore created thanks to the use of new media, forming multiple, dynamic links that are interconnected in a compressed, lightweight format through conceptual blending.

The series of works discussed in this thesis are mainly installations. A venue displaying installations is like a canvas and a frame – the foundation (supporting elements) of a painting – where we can explore varied contexts that are generated from the different qualities of the space if we further examine the spatial elements within such a space. In this thesis, I categorised the 0 90 360 series into two groups, the Visualised Objects and the Image-like Installations. These works are the products of my artistic practices and the representation of the formation of a container-like space.
